This would have to be the smoothest and simplest forehand around. Backhand similarly so, which is nto uncommon. His ball toss is too high on serve. Apart from that his techniques are perfect I think.
If I could pick one player on tour and copy their groundstroke techniques, It would not be Roger Federer; it would be David Nalbandian. Then again, like guiguitebeka said, the footwork is much more important than the technique.
@HBNplague yeh its quiet clear that he has the best groundstrokes in the game (both sides, espcially backhand). his footwork is great too but cus hes overweight and doesnt have a real pro mentality he never got the results of a nadal or fed. if he had those 2 things too he would have won like 20 slams by the time he retired. i always love his matches against fed and nadal cus he wins those so often and shows hes talentwise the best.

Very nice footwork by Nalbandian.

I think he uses a eastern grip on forehand. Anybody knows? thanks
its western
It’s semi-western
we dont care the grip. most in important in tennis : the footwork
Che stile… Che forte… Grazie del video.

I would add Rafter into the list for volleys but you got it covered with Fed and Nalby
Its a Western, like Djokovic’s grip… 100%
love the backhand
