it was 2007
this is one of the matches!!!!!!!
how could you not know that?!
this and paris, he beat fed…he beat nadal in paris final, and he beat djokovic in some tournament too
I wasn’t really a fan of Nalbandian. He would always creep into GOAT discussions . But now i realise and appreciate the fact that he is a special talent which doesn’t come around often. He’s got one of the best 2HB’s of the decade – possibly the best. He’s got feel and some angles he makes are brill.
The problem with Nalbandian isn’t that he’s streaky, it’s because he can lose focus and his mental/physical side are suspect. He’s getting fitter though.
Several years ago there was a study on who was the greatest players to never have won a major. M. Mecir was number one, M. Rios was two, and T. Martin was three. IMHO, if Nalbandian fails to win a major, I would rank him number 1. You would also to include F. Gonzalez and Davydenko up there as well, assuming they never win one.
And Nalbandian proved it again against Baghdatis today: he is capable of beating anyone when he is motivated. He goes away for almost a year and a half, comes back rested, and destroys four seeds to coast to the Legg Mason title. Considering his record against Federer and Nadal, you definitely have to wonder what this guy could do if he really loved the sport and dedicated himself to it the way other players do. Federer was playing well this day and David made him look pedestrian.

Nalbandian is a bit of a legend killer.
I think it was in 08′ when he beat world no1. Fed (twice) 2. Nadal and 3. Djokivic. Amazing :O

@nico74321 probably because he´s one of the few player´s, who get´s on the court with roger and believes he can really win the match.

@Zsword92 he beat Nadal twice as well if I’m not mistaken. so it was a back to back Fed-Nada double “killer”

wayyyyyyyyy too much talent on this court
WoooWW….Nunca he visto nada igual…qué forma de jugar al tenis¡¡¡
The Nalby vs Federer matches are the best of all. The tecnique is ahead of all other players, including Roddick, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray or Del Potro.
